摘要 The installation for pouring cast iron from a vessel (1) incorporates a device (5) for introducing various substances into the pouring jet (9) via a supply pipe (8) ending in the vicinity of the jet. It also includes an optoelectronic detector (12) which is located away from the pouring zone and is provided with a light conductor (11). The light conductor (11) leads to an optical unit (10) at the other end of the supply pipe (8). The detector signal is an analogue signal which is evaluated (according to its level) by means of an evaluation unit (13) to determine the presence of the pouring jet and the supply of added substances during right time intervals, as well as possible blockages of the supply pipe (8). Dependent on the operational state of the installation, the detector signal can be evaluated to determine whether the outlet of the vessel (1) is properly sealed. The detector signal can be evaluated to determine the maximum or minimum amounts of added substances supplied during given time intervals, and to control accordingly the supply of these additives from the device (5). USE/ADVANTAGE - Used in metallurgical plants. In comparison with known installations, its use allows more comprehensive and more reliable check and control of cast iron pouring processes to be carried out.
