HEAT RECOVERABLE STRIP STOCK

A heat recoverable strip stock fox heat shrink wrapping, particularly over cable connectors and cable branch joints consists of at least one polymeric cover layer, a heat stable netting layer and a heat shrinkable recovery layer. The recovery layer is made of a cross linked, stretched length of plastic, which is divided into shrink bands of selected width by dividing cuts which penetrate the length of plastic. Such a recovery layer together with a heat stable netting layer provide the strip stock with a high breaking strength in both the solid condition and in the molten condition.
