PURPOSE:To prevent liquid drops of fuel from collecting in a nozzle and obtain a fuel-air mixture with a stable air-fuel ratio by a method wherein the outside peripheral surface of a nozzle of an injector is tapered from a throat part of the nozzle to the opening at the tip, thereby restricting the tip surface of the nozzle. CONSTITUTION:In an injection carburetor 1, the free end side of a fuel passage 5 is projected to the center of an intake passage 2, and an injector body 6 is formed as one body with the tip of the passage 5. The injector 7 is fitted in the body 6, O-rings 8a, 8b are fitted to upper and lower parts of the outside periphery of the injector 7, a fuel reservoir 5a is formed at the periphery of the injector 7, and a fuel filter 9 is placed below the reservoir 5a. In a tip part of the injector 7, the outside peripheral surface 25 of the nozzle is tapered to restrict the annular area of the nozzle tip surface 24. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the liquid drops of the fuel from collecting in the nozzle of the injector 7 and prevent the liquid drops from falling into the intake passage and disturbing the smooth operation of the engine. |
