PURPOSE:To obtain acrylic polymer particles in which magnesium is introduced into the surface. CONSTITUTION:Acrylic polymer particles having 0.1-50mum, preferably 0.15-10mum average particle size and functional groups on the surface in an amount of 100 pts.wt. are brought into contact with 100-0.002 pt.wt., preferably 10-0.02 pt.wt. magnesium compound (e.g. magnesium salt of a carboxylic acid) and then dried. Thereby, acrylic polymer particles having at least part of the functional groups, present on the surface and bonded to magnesium are obtained. The aforementioned polymer particles are used to form a metal plating layer on the particle surfaces using the magnesium present on the surfaces as nuclei. |
