PURPOSE:To change and continue a printing action and replace a quiescent printing roll without stopping a steel plate by a method wherein two printing devices each having a printing roll and a printing pressure roll are disposed on the upstream and downstream to be appropriately changed over for conducting printing. CONSTITUTION:Two pairs of printing devices respectively having printing rolls 1, 2 and printing pressure rolls 3, 4 are disposed on the upstream and downstream of a device body. These are set to a portal frame 5. The printing rolls 1, 2 are supported by rising/lowering frames 6. The rising/lowering frames 6 are moved up and down by hydraulic cylinder devices 11 through toggle links 12. The printing pressure rolls 3, 4 are raised by hydraulic cylinders 16. By appropriately changing over both the printing devices, a printing action is changed and continued without stopping the running of a steel plate P. At this time, the rotating speed of the printing rolls 1, 2 is made synchronous with the running speed of the steel plate P, and the start and completion of printing are adjusted. |
