PURPOSE:To provide a method for economically producing a granular polycarbonate having high bulk density, moderate particle diameter and excellent handling properties and extremely reduced in residual solvent amount. CONSTITUTION:The organic solvent solution of polycarbonate is heated in warm water. Thereby an organic solvent is removed to granulate polycarbonate and then the resultant granule is taken out as water slurry and a solvent which does not dissolve polycarbonate or mixed solution of the solvent which does not dissolve polycarbonate and an organic solvent is added to the slurry to produce a granule and the granule is separated and dried. |
