PSEUDO-BOEHMITE AND RECORDING SHEET

PURPOSE:To obtain boehmite crystals, capable of forming a porous layer excellent in absorptivity and fixing properties of coloring matters, good in transparency and suitable as recording sheets. CONSTITUTION:Pseudo-boehmite is composed of aggregates of boehmite crystals having >=70Angstrom grain thickness in the direction perpendicular to the (010) face and <=6.17Angstrom spacing of the (020) face. A recording sheet is obtained by forming a porous layer composed of the aforementioned pseudo-boehmite on a substrate.
