FLAME-RETARDANT RESIN COMPOSITION

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide the title compsn. generating little smoke during burning and excellent in flame retardance by compounding a specific silane-graft polyolefin with a plurality of inorg. compds. and bringing the resulting compsn. into contact with water under specified conditions to cross-link the compsn. CONSTITUTION:A silane-graft polyolefin obtd. by grafting 0.1-10 pts.wt. silane compd. of the formula: RR'SiY3 (wherein R is a monovalent olefinically unsatd. hydrocarbon group or a monovalent hydroxyhydrocarbon group; R' is a divalent hydrocarbon group contg. no aliph. unsaturation; and Y is a monovalent hydrolyzable group) (e.g. vinyltrimethoxysilane) onto 100 pts.wt. polyolefin (e.g. PE) is compounded with 20-200 pts.wt. the sum of Al(OH)3 and Mg(OH)2 and 1-50 pts.wt. Mo compd. (e.g. MoO3) to give a resin compsn., which is brought into contact with water in the presence of a silanol condensation catalyst (e.g. dibutyltin dilaurate) to cross-link the compsn.
