PURPOSE:To certainly sterilize and deodorize medical waste contaminated with pathogenic bacteria by bringing the medical waste hermetically sealed in a bag into contact with strong alkaline chlorine dioxide gas with specific pH under a specific temp. condition. CONSTITUTION:Infections waste 8 contaminated with pathogenic sources such as a hepatities B virus, AIDS or other infectious bacteria is hermetically sealed in a double paper bag to be received in a receiving part 2. Next, the alkaline chlorine dioxide aqueous solution with pH 10-11 in an alkaline chlorine dioxide solution tank 7 is supplied to the outside of the porous ceramics adsorbing body 5 heated by a heater to be infiltrated in the ceramics adsorbing body 5. Subsequently, alkaline chlorine dioxide gas is generated from many voids of the adsorbing body 5 at 40-80 deg.C by the air stream due to a blower 4 and introduced into the receiving part 2 through a vent pipe 3 to be brought into contact with the medical waste 8 and subsequently returned to a chlorine dioxide gas generating part 1 through a separate vent pipe. |
