摘要 PURPOSE:To set a span amount without necessitating skill, by a method wherein constants are obtained from two signals from a detecting means made to correspond to a reference length and zero setting, signals from the detecting means made to correspond to a substance to be measured are multiplied by the constants and thereby a measured value is obtained. CONSTITUTION:Monitoring a detected value display unit 10, a measurer makes a detecting means 2 positioned at a mechanical zero and the means 2 delivers a signal at this time to a variable-gain amplifier 4. The amplifier 4 amplifies the signal from the means 2 by a specified sequential multiplication rate and sends it to an A/D converter 5. The converter 5 subjects the signal to A/D conversion in the sequence of input and sends it to a temporary zero storage element 13. The means 2 being used, subsequently, the dimensions of a block gage of which the reference dimensions are known are inputted to a span amount setting element 7. A subtracter 14 subtracts a temporary zero value stored in the storage element 13 from a signal relating to the block gage and sends the result to a constant calculating element 8. The setting element 7 stores values relating to the reference dimensions in a span storage element 16. When the result of subtraction is sent to the calculating element 8 herein, prescribed computation is executed in a controller 12.
