PURPOSE:To obtain a vibration gyro which can detect the rotary angular velocity correctly even when the ambienct temperature is changed. CONSTITUTION:Piezoelectric elements 14a, 14b, 14c are formed at the central part of each side face of an oscillating body 12 in the shape of a triangular prism. When a direct current voltage is impressed to the piezoelectric element 14c, the vibrating body 12 is warped to the direction orthogonal to the face where the piezoelectric element 14c is formed. When a driving signal is fed to the piezoelectric element 14a, 14b or 14c, the vibrating body 12 is bent and vibrated in a direction orthogonal to the forming face of the piezoelectric element 14c. The piezoelectric element 14c may be different in size from the other piezoelectric elements 14a, 14b to generate the warp of the vibrating body 12. Moreover, it may be possible t0 form a groove in the surface of the vibrating body 12 where the piezoelectric element 14c is formed thereby to generate the warp of the vibrating body 12. |
