PURPOSE:To obtain an air-bag main body having excellent strength while preventing the sewing miss by applying a reinforcing cloth to a base cloth at the attaching part of an air-bag main body, forming a bent part along the edge of a 1st sewn part and forming a 2nd sewn part nearly perpendicularly crossing the bent part. CONSTITUTION:A base cloth of the main part 12 and a base cloth of the side part 13 are sewn together to form a bag-shaped air-bag main body 11. The main body 11 is provided with an attaching part 16 fixed to a base plate and having a gas injection part 16 to expand the bag by the actuation of a gas generator. The attaching part 16 is formed by laminating reinforcing cloths 17,18 on the base cloth of the main part 12, sewing the reinforcing cloths in a state traversing the main part 12 to form the 1st sewn part 21, forming a bent part 23 on both ends of the sewn part 21 in a state bent outward along the length of the main part 12, integrating the edge 13a of the base cloth of the side part 13 to the edge 12a of the base cloth of the main part 12 and forming the 2nd sewn part 25 along the bent part 23. |
