<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate gap by applying a packing and a bellows between a joint to a head metal to be fixed to the end of conductor and insulating compound filled between the conductor and a surrounding insulator through an insulator in a cable terminal. CONSTITUTION:The cable terminal is constituted of a head metal 1, a joint 4, a conductor 2 and an insulator upper metal 8. Insulating compound 6 is filled through an insulator 3 between the conductor 2 and a surrounding insulator 5. An insulating bellows 7c is inserted between a packing 7a secured to the lower part of the joint 4 and a movable packing 7b disposed above the insulating compound 6 thus forming a sealing means. When the compound 6 expands or contracts after long term use, the packing 7b moves to prevent occurrence of gap. Consequently, deterioration of insulation due to generation of corona can be prevented.</p> |
