发明名称 FOCUS DETECTING DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To accomplish the accurate detection of the deviation of an image, which is excellent in S/N, by duplicating an object image signal, doubly enlarging it, and obtaining a correlation amount by ''mutual shift'' in correlation arithmetic operation. CONSTITUTION:In a device where a luminous flux is received on 1st and 2nd sensor trains 4a, 4b through optical systems 1-3 so that the focusing state of the optical systems 1-3 is detected based on a correlation displacement amount with respect to 1st and 2nd signals by the respective sensor trains 4a and 4b, the signals from plural picture elements which constitute the respective sensors 4a, 4b are duplicated, enlarged to be double signal amounts, and the correlation arithmetic operation is performed to the 1st and the 2nd enlarged signals. In the correlation arithmetic operation, a larger value or a smaller value out of the corresponding signals in the 1st and the 2nd signals is set as an operator. By obtaining the correlation amount by 'mutual shift', the detection of the image, which is excellent in the S/N, is accomplished. Furthermore, by using the larger value or the smaller value as the operator, the dependency of the object is decreased, and the accurate focus detection is accomplished.
