PURPOSE:To improve productivity in a rotary connector by preventing breakage or irregularity of pitch caused by such a reason that electric conductors move easily in the case of connecting work to the other electric connecting members. CONSTITUTION:The present invention relates to a flat cable connecting unit structure and a connecting method thereof to connect a flat cable, where plural number of electric conductors are arranged in parallel to each other at a prescribed pitch in an insulating coating, to the other electric connecting members. In the flat cable connecting unit structure, after an insulating coating 10a in at least electric conductor 10b parts are removed in the edge parts of the flat cable 10, and the plural number of electric conductors 10b are exposed partially, and the plural number of exposed electric conductors 10b are connected respectively to the other electric connecting members 33. Furthermore, in the flat cable connecting method, after the plural number of electric conductors 10b are exposed partially and are integrated into mutually freely rotatable cases 21, 22 and 23, the plural number of partially exposed electric conductors 10b are connected respectively to the other electric connecting members 33. |
