<p>PURPOSE:To realize the active matrix substrate which prevents a leak between a scanning line and a picture element electrode without making the line width of the scanning line wide, and reduces parasitic capacitance that does not contribute to the formation of an additional capacitance eventually and is increased in numerical aperture and improved in display quality when incorporated in a display device. CONSTITUTION:A gate bus line 10 is formed in two-layered structure by laminating an upper-layer gate bus line 10b which is a little bit wider than a lower- layer gate bus line 10a on the lower-layer gate bus line 10a. On the lower-layer gate bus line 10a, the upper-layer bus line 10b, a gate insulating film 50, part of the picture element electrode 40 is superposed across a gate protection 1st layer 54, a gate protection 2nd layer 55, and a gate protection 3rd layer, and an additional capacitance electrode 40a is formed at the superposition part. This structure while reducing the probability of the leak between the gate bus line 10 and picture element electrode 40 make the overall width of the gate bus line 10 narrow.</p> |
