PURPOSE:To separate the radioactive nuclei in a simple manner at a low cost by separating the insoluble salt generated by the addition of the substance for forming the insoluble salt with the nuclei which exist in a waste liquid, from a high level waste liquid. CONSTITUTION:The waste liquid containing the radiactive nucleus such as <137>Cs, <90>Sr, <106>Ru, <125>Sb, <237>Np, and <241>Am supplied from a reprocessing high level waste liquid feeding tank 2 is reacted with the phosphoric acid supplied from a phosphoric acid feeding tank 3, in a reaction tank 1, and the insoluble phosphomolybdic acid and barium phosphate are formed in the waste liquid. Both adsorb Cs, Sr, and transuranic elements. After the precipitate sufficiently grows, the waste liquid is transferred into a solid/liquid separating mechanism 5 by a slurry transfer pump 4, and separated into the precipitate phase and the waste liquid phase. The waste liquid phase is transferred to a processed waste liquid storage tank 7, and the rest precipitate is transferred to a precipitate storage tank 8 from the mechanism 5 by the back-wash liquid supplied from a back-wash liquid feeding tank 6. Through this process, Cs, Sr, and transuranic elements can be separated from other kinds of nuclei.
|
