PURPOSE:To obtain a stable operation by suppressing the fluctuation in characteristics by DC drift. CONSTITUTION:Optical waveguides 21, 22 are provided on a Z-Cut LiNbO3 crystal substrate 20 to form a directional coupler 23. Light control electrodes 25, 26 are provided on these optical waveguides 21, 22 and a switching voltage VS is impressed by a switch 27. A bias electrode 29 is provided on the rear surface of the substrate 20 to impress a bias voltage VB between the light control electrodes 25 and 26. The light control circuit with which the stable operation is obtainable is obtd. by such constitution. |
