The invention relates to a grafted sulphonic silica for the separation of sulphur-containing hydrocarbon compounds, especially of compounds including thiophene rings, comprising silica particles with a diameter of between 3 and 10 microns, with a specific surface of between 200 and 500 m<2>/g and with a pore diameter of between 50 and 150 angstroms (10<-8> cm), this silica containing grafts or sulphonic groups chosen from the group consisting of alkylsulphonic, alkylenesulphonic and phenylsulphonic groups. According to the invention, the sulphonic groups are ionically bonded with the palladium contributed by an organometallic palladium salt. |
