<p>PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for cooling a feeder line between an ambient temperature terminal and an electric device which is dipped in a bath containing a cryogenic fluid, and for optimizing the feeder line for superconducting devices, for instance, a superconducting electric device for a powered railway car actuated with no load or a weak current, a rated current and a current larger than the rated current. CONSTITUTION: When a strong current flows in a feeder line, cooling air or fluid drops to a first level 14A of a passage 14, ascends a passage 9 along a rib and then is discharged or streams via a pipe 15, so as to be circulated again after heat exchanging with the atmosphere. When the feeder line carries a rated current, a passage 17 is connected to a suction pipe 16 carrying dry air (or another fluid) whose temperature is only slighths higher than the ambient temperature, so that it is used for cooling the feeder line.</p> |
