PURPOSE:To reduce an operation amount in pattern matching even if the number of the picture elements of reference picture data increases to shorten operation time. CONSTITUTION:A reference picture extraction means 11 which changes a coordinate and sequentially fetches reference part data on the prescribed number of the picture elements from reference picture data, a matching detection means 12 obtaining respective matching degrees when reference part data fetched by the reference picture extraction means is shifted by the prescribed number of the picture elements in respective directions with respect to reference picture data, an optimum data adoption means 13 adopting reference part data on the coordinate showing the optimum matching degree from detected respective matching degrees with respect to respective reference part data different in the coordinate are provided. |
