PURPOSE:To provide a positive pole active mass for a lithium secondary battery wherein the active mass consists of a Mn-Li composite material which can improve charge-discharge cycle property even at the time of deep discharging of a lithium secondary battery. CONSTITUTION:Regarding a Mn-Li composite material prepared by containing lithium in a manganese oxide compound, a part of manganese is substituted with at least one element selected from Mo and W belonging to 6A-group in the periodic table and with at least one element selected from B, Al Ga, and In belonging to 3B-group in the table. Consequently, as compared with a conventional positive pole active mass, the charge-discharge cycle property of a lithium secondary battery is remarkably improved. |
