PURPOSE:To realize the data rewriting in the storage device using an electrically erasable EEPROM for practical use. CONSTITUTION:Using an EEPROM 11 capable of deletion in a block unit, data written by a CPU 21 is temporarily stored in a cache memory 15. When the data is written by the CPU 21, a controller 12 deletes the data of the EEPROM 11 corresponding to the data. The data on the cache memory 15 is written in the EEPROM 11 after the lapse of the prescribed time by the end of the access to the data from the CPU 21, or when the cache memory 15 is written up, or the power source disconnection is detected. From the CPU 21 in a computer 3, the deletion and the end of writing of data of the EEPROM 11 so as not to occupy the CPU 21, resulting in realizing the storage device capable of writing and reading at a speed for practical use. |
