PURPOSE:To obtain a sentence check device which can improve the check accuracy of the words written in KATAKANA (square form of Japanese syllabary). CONSTITUTION:An unsuccessful analysis KATAKANA string extracting means 21 extracts an unsuccessful KATAKANA string out of an analysis result storage means 4 which stores the analysis results of the input sentences. Then the KATAKANA string extracted by the HIRAGANA (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) string by a means 21 is converted into a HIRAGANA string converter means 22. A reanalayzer means 23 applies a grammatical analysis again to the HIRAGANA string with use of a word dictionary 8. When an area where the grammatical analysis is successful is detected, an analysis result 24 updates the analysis result. |
