PURPOSE:To hold proper printing density even when or after a photosensitive body must be exchanged. CONSTITUTION:When printing is performed on one sheet, a counted value stored in a photosensitive body life counting device is counted up by one. Whether or not the counted value in the photosensitive body life counting device attains a limit value which is previously set corresponding to the life of the photosensitive body is checked, and when it does not attain a limit value, the device stands by to next printing. When the counted value attains the limit value, informing action is executed. In such a state, whether or not the photosensitive drum is exchanged is checked. When the photosensitive drum is not exchanged, a laser scanner is controlled to make laser power up. When the photosensitive drum is exchanged, the laser power is set in an initial state. |
