PURPOSE:To protect power feeding apparatuses from breakdown caused by a reverse voltage even if only one feeding apparatus is in operation and the respective power feeding apparatuses are connected to each other with multiplex transmission lines so as to have polarities opposite to each other by a method wherein diodes are connected between the output terminals of the respective power feeding apparatuses in parallel with the power supply parts of the respective power feeding apparatuses as bypass means for reverse voltage protection. CONSTITUTION:When respective power feeding apparatuses are connected to each other with multiplex transmission lines so as to have polarities opposite to each other, if only the feeding apparatus 5a is in operation and the feeding apparatus 5b is turned off, a current flows along a route A-B'-C'-D by the diode characteristics of diodes. Therefore, a reverse voltage is not applied to the power feeding apparatus 5b and the apparatus 5b is protected. Further, if the current flowing along the route A-B'-C'-D is denoted by (i4), (i4) is obtained by a predetermined formula. Therefore, in order to have the current (i4) larger than a current by which an overcurrent protective circuit is operated, only the DC resistance of a choke coil on the power feeding side is to be selected. |
