PURPOSE:To provide a super ionic conductor for an electrochemical device such as a fuel cell and a sensor, especially the super ionic conductor conducting protons or ion oxides and a synthesizing method thereof. CONSTITUTION:A mixed ion conductor is an oxide or a polycrystalline sintered body to be expressed by BaCe1-x GdxO3-alpha (0.23>x>0.16, 1.5>d>0). The figure shows conductivity performance at the time of x=0.2. The density of a sintered body is not less than 96.5% of a theoretical density and a grain block of a polycrystal is composed of the sizes from 0.1mum to 10mum. The synthesis of oxides thereof requires grinding of a powder grain diameter before final sintering not exceeding 3mum, dehydration vacuum drying, and, baking at a temperature 1635 deg.C to 1665 deg.C. |
