SPACE DIVISION TYPE OPTICAL SIGNAL SELECTING CIRCUIT

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a compact and low-power consumptive circuit capable of selectively connecting different optical signals respectively inputted to M optical fibers to all of N numbers of outputs. CONSTITUTION:This space division type optical signal selecting circuit is provided with an optical branching circuit 2 for N-branching respective signals outputted from M optical fibers 8, M numbers of N-channel one-dimensional optical switches 6 for turning on and off respective outputs thereof and N numbers of one-dimensional optical OR circuit 7 for combining respective M- channel optical signals. In this constitution, N optical outputs can be obtained from M optical inputs. Consequently this selecting circuit can be utilized for image distribution service.
