PURPOSE:To realize a body surface monitor equipped with a temporal region detector which is positioned at a waiting position not obstructing the entry when a person intrudes, while carrying out measurement through moving to the side of the temporal region part when measurement is carried out. CONSTITUTION:As for a body surface monitor equipped with a temporal region detector, a pair of temporal region detectors 2 are held by a horizontal arm 3 fixed on the elevator element 4a of an elevator mechanism 4, and a supporting arm 9 which is fixed on an overhead detector 1 which is positioned between a pair of temporal region detectors 2 and whose vertical shift is guided is supported by a coil spring 6 which is placed on the horizontal arm 3 and has a small spring constant. A guide rod 7 is installed concentrically on the coil spring 6, fixing one edge of the guide rod 7 on the horizontal arm 3, and the guide rod 7 is equipped with an overhead and temporal region detector interlocking mechanism having a stopper 8 inserted into a guide hole 9a formed on the supporting arm 9 and contacts the guide hole at the position separated by a prescribed distance from the rod fixing edge. The surface contamination of the temporal region part can be measured correctly from a proper distance by the temporal region detector, and further, since the temporal region detector can be retreated over the undersurface level of the overhead detector when a person enters, the obstruction to a passage is prevented.
