<p>A multi-positional bed (10) comprises at one end thereof a pair of pillars (16, 18), one at or near each side of the bed (10) and at the opposite end a single pillar (24) situated substantially on the longitudinal centerline of the bed (10). The bed (10) has a user-supporting frame (30), and respective mounting means (32, 34, 36) for mounting the frame (30) to each of the pillars (16, 18, 24), each mounting means (32, 34, 36) being arranged to move lengthwise of the respective pillar independently of the movement of the other mounting means.</p> |
