Novel polyesters and polyamides having 2-100 mol.% of their acid component up of dipyrrolo (1,2a:2',1'-c) pyrazine-2,9 -dicarboxylic acid of formula (I) (or a functional deriv.) are claimed as are also electroconductive polymers obtd. by oxidatively grafting the polyester or polyamide with pyrrole. USE/ADVANTAGE - The polymers are used in the mfr. of anti-static or electroconductive films, fibres, mouldings and coatings.
