The holder for the feed unit consists of a locking sleeve (5) with locating lugs (35) for bayonet location in a bush (4) through a template (58), a clamping device (24) and a distance bush (6). Coding is done by matching the sleeve (5) and bush (4) diameters and the number and position of slots (61). Pneumatic connections are arranged to suit codings. The clamp (37) for the sleeve (5) is pneumatically operated. The clamping device (24) has two hydraulically operated clamping shells (31) for locking the sensor tube (9). USE/ADVANTAGE - Detachable holding device for drill feed unit is smaller and lighter than similar existing devices. It has positive locking and unlocking, and sensor tips do not damage workpiece.
