A machine for dressing squid bodies comprises two belt conveyers (1, 2) each belt (2) of which has at least one cord layer (7) and one elastic layer (8). The belt conveyers (1, 2) are mounted one above the other so that their elastic layers are in mutual contact. The external surface (9) of the elastic layer (8) of each belt (5) is provided, over the whole width, with protrusions (10). The protrusions (10) located in the peripheric areas of the belt (5) are shaped as ribs (21) arranged along straight lines parallel to the lateral surface (20) of the belt (5). Between the protrusions (10) located in the middle area of the belt (5) are provided grooves oriented at an angle to the lateral surface (20) of the belt (5). At the opposite ends (12, 13) of the conveyers (1, 2) are mounted a means (14) for feeding the squids between the conveyer belts, a means (15) for removing the squid bodies for further processing and a collector (16) for squeezed out squid entrails. |
