Novel microorganism Streptomyces albus R2374 - is e.g 5-0-sulphamoyl-2-chloro adenosine which can be used as a herbicide

摘要

(A) Streptomyces albus R2374 and its mutants capable of preparing 5'-O-sulphamoyl-2-chloroadenosine of formula (I) are new. (B) The use of (I) as a herbicide is new. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) is a known nucleoside antibiotic which is now found to be effective as a herbicide. (I) can be used on seeds and on the plants. In examples, (I) was found to be completely effective against Sinapis alba and Stellaria media in both a pre-emergent test using 4kg/ha.
