摘要 A transverse gas laser oscillator has a gas filled vessel (1) with an internal circulation established by a blower (6). The gas presses through a discharge region (4a) and a cooler (5). Set into the outer wall on the discharge side is a dielectric electrode (7a), such as ceramic. A dielectric plate (8a) is set on the surface and connects with a source (9) of high frequency voltage signals. A similar arrangement exists internally on a further discharge surface (7b). Permanent magnets (10a, 10b, 11a, 11b) are arranged in strips together with magnetic material yoke strips (12, 13). The magnetic field effects increases the ionisation of the gas.
