The lumber machine has a lumber tool attached to two hinged jib arms (30) which can be raised and lowered by pressurised cylinders. The lumber tool consists of two laterally spaced grippers (10) whose one arms (11) are each mounted hinged near the end of the associated jib arm (30) remote from the base. Each other arm (12) of the grippers are mounted on the first arm for adjustment relative to same by means of its own pressurised cylinder (13). The grippers can be swivelled approx. 180 deg. and are adjustable between a vertically downwardly pointing opening and a vertically upwardly pointing opening. USE - To pick up and move cut branches without damaging the ground and without the wood falling down.
