Tunable oscillator with varactor diode for directional radio - has substrate with oscillator circuit as integral, separately operatable, tightly metal encapsulated component

On a thin-layer substrate (3) is formed an oscillator circuit of several network structures with a varactor diode for 15 to 30 GHz frequency generation. There are several input terminals and an output terminal. The susbtrate forms with the oscillation circuit an integral, separate module (1), hermetically metal encapsulated. The module has external terminals, as well as a fastening flange and an electromagentically transparent window (11) for coupling to a cavity resonator. The module encapsulation pref. consists of a housing with a base plate (4) and the window frame (5) with a cover (6). ADVANTAGE - Mechanically robust design, and versatility for cavity resonator coupling types.
