<p>PURPOSE:To omit the rewiring of elephant cables, by connecting the one end of the tertiary winding of the series transformer to one of the elephant cables, while one end of the tertiary winding of the autotransformer is connected to the other end of the tertiary winding of the series transformer. CONSTITUTION:The elephant cables 19C and 19D, to which oil immersed cable heads are attached, are provided in a cable connecting box 18 of the autotransformer 10. One lead of the tertiary winding of the autotransformer 10 is connected to the oil immersed cable head of the existing elephant cable 19A, thus the wire terminal (a) is formed. The other lead (b') is connected to the oil immersed cable head of the elephant cable 19D. The oil immersed cable head of the existing elephant cable 19B and that of the new cable 19C are connected. While the tertiary windings of the series transformer 17 are connected to the elephant cables 19C and 19D. The ends of the tertiary winding (a) and (b) ae taken out of the elephant cables 19A and 19B.</p> |
