<p>Preparing active-mass of improved quality from waste active-mass of industrially operated, and starter accumulators deriving from rubbish-shoots, and for adding the obtained active-mass of improved quality to the Pb electrodes of cloth-bag type accumulators. The collected and stored waste active-mass is deacidified, washed with water, dried, subjected to heat treatment, ground, and then shaken in dry state or with wetting additives into cloth bags containing the Pb electrodes. The deacidifed and washed active-mass is subjected to heat treatment, 580-700 deg. C, and ground to an average particle size 0.5-3 mm. The thus obtained granules are: (a) shaken into cloth bags containing the Pb electrodes; or (b) mixed with at least one of the following: H2O; H2SO4, 5.G. 1.2-1.1g/ml; an aqueous soln. containing glycerol, 3-7% by mass; in an amount 0.5-15% by mass, based on the mass of the granules, and shaken into cloth bags containing the Pb electrodes, positive or negative active mass is prepared when positive or negative active-mass is used as starting material, or negative active-mass is prepared when a mixture of positive and negative active-masses is used as starting material.</p> |
