<p>The assembly for joining two high- or very high-voltage cables consists of means for joining the ends of their stripped conductors which are accessible at the end of terminal isolators (insulators) on these cables and of a sealed cylindrical transition casing surrounding these means and the terminal portions of the isolators (insulators). It is characterised in that this casing (6) is composed of two so-called end cylindrical pieces (61, 62), each fixed to one of the isolators (insulators) and surrounding its terminal portion, and of a so-called central cylindrical piece (63) sliding on one of the end pieces and being fixed to both of these end pieces in order to close the casing.
