Arrangement for coherence reduction and the formation of a laser beam (1) having two at least approximately parallel mirrors (21, 31) which are arranged approximately perpendicular to the laser beam and of which one is completely (31) and the other partially (21) silvered, so that the emerging light bundle (4) consists of a plurality of juxtaposed or partially overlapping component bundles (41-410) which have been reflected with differing frequencies in the arrangement, the spacing of the mirrors (21, 31) being greater than half the coherence length of the laser (11). Advantageous inter alia are the arrangement on a plane-parallel glass plate, the stepped reduction in the reflection factor of the partially silvered mirror (21), and the partial overlapping of the emerging component bundles (41-410). <IMAGE>
