A sub-miniature lamp (8) in which a lamp body (1) having a filament (2) and an envelope is covered with a soft silicone rubber cap (3) of a predetermined colour having an opening at one end and extending to a predetermined length of the lead wires (4) extending from the lamp body. A closure member (7) is fitted to the opening of the envelope to seal the opening. The coloured silicone rubber cap (3) being fitted with an adhesive agent (6) or a disc pad (7). <IMAGE>
