Control And Monitoring Circuit For Electric Seat Heaters, Especially In Automotive Vehicles Fast and highly sensitive monitoring of electric resistance heating elements of heaters in automotive vehicles is achieved by the feature that the current supply to the electric resistance heating element is temporarily interrupted and during the period of interruption the electric resistance heating element is connected to an electric measuring device which applies thereto a measuring current that is significantly lower than the heating current. A control and monitoring circuit operating in this way permits testing of the electric resistance heating element for a plurality of types of faults over a wide range of operating conditions.
