PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation in spalling resistance observed when the content of an aluminum metal is increased in order to improve the oxidation resistance of the magnesia carbon brick particularly at a high temp. CONSTITUTION:This magnesia carbon brick contains 0.5 to 15 pts.wt. powder mixture or alloy powder composed of metal aluminum and metal titanium in a compsn. consisting of 60 to 97 pts.wt. magnesian refractory material and 3 to 40 pts.wt. carbonaceous material. The above-mentioned brick is formed by using the metals of the aluminum and the titanium in combination. |
