PURPOSE:To prevent a user from feeling a sense of incongruity by a method wherein information is recorded on a heat-sensitive recording material, an appropriate image recording is performed by performing correction automatically based on information, and after the completion of recording of an image, the record is eliminated. CONSTITUTION:An area on which UV rays are cast becomes totally transparent at a liquid crystal shutter 212, by permeating or shutting up rays from a UV lamp 204 on a heat-sensitive recording material 10 which is wound around a roller 206, and the border between the cast area and a yellow area surrounding it becomes clear and functions as a bar code. A bar code sensor 73 is arranged on a carrying path of an image recording device, and the bar code 214 is read to discriminate the type automatically, and at the same time, the sensitivity characteristics of this heat-sensitive recording material 10 is obtained and sent to an LUT 180. The surrounding yellow area of the bar code 214 becomes transparent by the radiation of light sources 64A, 64B to the whole area of the heat-sensitive recording material 10, and it is substantially eliminated. Therefore, after the completion of an image recording, the bar code does not exist. |
