PURPOSE:To improve the dimensional stability of ceramic products obtained by utilizing industrial wastes such as fly ash. CONSTITUTION:A nonionic surfactant is added to (A) unburned carbon-contg. fly ash or (B) fluidized bed ash and adsorbed on said unburned carbon, and the resultant fly ash or fluidized bed ash is then incorporated, in a cement formulation as silica component, followed by addition of water and then shaping to a product form, which is, in turn, cured at >=60 deg.C to effect eliminating and dispersing the nonionic surfactant, thus suppressing the dimensional change of the matrix. |
