PRODUCTION OF INJECTION-MOLDED AND SINTERED PURE IRON HAVING HIGH STRENGTH

PURPOSE:To produce an injection-molded and sintered pure iron having a high strength. CONSTITUTION:A pure iron powder and 8-15wt.% thermoplastic resin as a binder are mixed and kneaded, the kneaded material is crushed and injection- molded, the molded body is high temperature-dewaxed at 680-750 deg.C to obtain a calcined body contg. <=0.05wt.% of the carbon from the binder, and the calcined body is low temperature-sintered at 870-910 deg.C to produce the injection- molded and sintered pure iron.
