PRETREATMENT OF NIGHT SOIL

PURPOSE:To prevent the clogging of an ultrafilter membrane in the ultrafiltration stage and to simplify the equipment by removing the scum along with the fibrous component in night soil as the preceding stage to the ultrafiltration stage. CONSTITUTION:Night soil is treated by a treating system including an ultrafiltration stage by an ultrafilter-membrane device 32. In this case, the night soil is passed through a filter medium of a filter unit dipped in the treating tank of a filter 22 and filtered as the preceding stage to the device 32, and the scum and fibrous component in the night soil are removed.
