<p>PURPOSE:To provide an exhaust emission control device having two filters arranged in parallel to each other in which an exhaust passage sectional area is never largely throttled so as to ensure a regenerating gas at the time of regenerating one filter. CONSTITUTION:In an exhaust emission control device for internal combustion engine, electric heater wires 15, 16 are provided on the lower stream sides of both filters 2, 3, respectively, branched passage parts 7b, 8b on the filter lower stream sides are connected to each other by an exhaust gas inlet pipe 19, and an exhaust gas release pipe 21 for releasing a regenerating exhaust gas passed through the regenerating side filter to the atmosphere is provided between branched passage parts 7a, 8a on the filter upper stream side, When the branched passage of the regenerating side filter is closed by a switching valve 10 at the time of filter regeneration, a part of the exhaust gas flows into the exhaust gas inlet pipe 19 and is used as a regenerating exhaust gas.</p> |
