<p>PURPOSE:To enable suppression of a sound wave coming from a direction different from an object sound source and to improve the precision in recognition of classification even when a plurality of sound sources exist. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of hydrophones detecting acoustic signals from arbitrary directions are provided, and an acoustic detection signal outputted from each of these hydrophones is converted into a digital signal, which is inputted to an acoustic signal extracting means composed of a suitable signal processor 5 and a subordinate signal processor 6. This acoustic signal extracting means subjects the signal from the hydrophone to a suitable signal processing, limits a direction of wave reception and extracts the acoustic signal coming from the limited direction, and feature parameters are determined by a waveform analyzing operation element 8. These feature parameters and feature parameters and classification information stored in a storage device 10 beforehand are inputted to a classification recognizing operation element 9 and recognition of classification is executed therein.</p> |
